Rick Casqueiro credits his grandfather, and a long family heritage of making wine in Portugal, with his love for the process now.  Rick listened to stories of how the art of winemaking had been passed down from one generation of Casqueiros to the next. Growing up watching his grandfather continue the traditions created a lasting impression on Rick.

Rick began his career as an analytical chemist of enology but soon was back in school studying the art of winemaking. He became fascinated with sparklingwWine and has been perfecting his artistry ever since.
